Lara was hired to create both film & still photography footage of the award-winning McAllen Library in Texas, which were used in the documentary short film describing its transformation from abandoned Wal-Mart to largest single floor library in the nation.

- A 2010 joint fellowship with the Northwest Institute of Architecture & Urban Studies in Italy (NIAUSI) culminated late fall, and large scale mappings of the documentation are currently in the works. Public presentations will be made 05.11 and a gallery installation at Jack Straw Productions is scheduled for early 2012.

- Lara was selected by the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) to display work with 25 other architecture shooters at the AIA Conventions in both SF and Miami, in a gallery space sponsored by Canon and Calumet.

- Along with her partner Robert Zimmer, Lara was commissioned by the UI’s Prichard Art Gallery in Moscow to create a joint artwork and site specific installation, the “Palouse Project,” a two-year culmination of that collaboration. “Topographies in Built and Natural Landscapes” ran June - Sept 08.
